Stuart Larson
Director, Traill County States Attorney

Stuart Larson is an attorney in private practice in Hillsboro, ND. He is also the Traill County States Attorney, serving in that role since 1979. A member of the TCEDC Board of Directors since 2003, Stuart has been involved in economic development since 1978, when Hillsboro did a major downtown improvement project.

Stuart hails from Cloquet, MN. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, and graduated from University of North Dakota Law School.

He and his wife, Kathy, have two married daughters and two grandchildren. Stuart is also a member of the Hillsboro Business Association and the Hillsboro Kiwanis Club. He is also a past member of the Hillsboro Hospital Board, Hillsboro Hospital Foundation Board, Hillsboro Housing Board (Kiwanis Board), and Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Council.
